Special Adviser to Governor of Delta State, in-charge of Government Affairs, Hon (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor, has said that his Boss, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, scored another exciting goal on Saturday, July 13, 2024, with the landslide victory of the candidates of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the local government councils election in the state.
Reacting to the development, Hon Uviejitobor, a two term member of the Delta State House of Assembly, said Rt Hon Oborevwori has been so committed to good governance since assumption of office as Governor of the state.
The Special Adviser explained that the massive votes for the PDP candidates in the election was yet another channel for Deltans to appreciate their Governor for his good works.
According to Uviejitobor, local government council’s leadership is key to advancing the MORE mantra of the state government, hence the resolve by the people to give the Governor a team that will help promote and drive the agenda of the administration at the grassroots.
Uviejitobor who represented Udu Constituency between 2015 and 2023 in the State legislature, congratulated Oborevwori, and all the 25 elected local government Chairmen for their victories at the polls.
The Special Adviser on Government Affairs, also congratulated the PDP family in the state, particularly in Udu local government area, where the party’s candidate, Chief Vincent Oyibode was returned unopposed, for the massive victory.Uviejitobor promised that his office will work closely with the newly elected Chairmen to propagating accelerated development at the grassroots level in accordance with the vision of the Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
He urged the Council Chairmen to rise up to the task ahead and never be distracted by the antics of those who did not want the state to succeed.
Uviejitobor emphasized that Governor Oborevwori is poised to delivering more dividends of democracy across the nook and cranny in the state, no matter how remote and requires all support.
The Special Adviser re-echoed his earlier remark that the MORE agenda is on auto cruise, stressing that the Governor is committed to raising standard of lives and infrastructure in the state.
