Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has said his party the PDP was coming on a rescue mission after eight years failure of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Speaking to newsmen at the Nest of Champions Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State at the official flag-off of the 2022/23 Presidential Campaigns of the PDP, Rt. Hon. Oborevwori said that Nigerians cannot afford to return the APC back to power again, hence the PDP was coming on a rescue mission to salvage the bad situation the ruling APC has plunged the country into since 2015.
In his words; “PDP has ruled this country before, and when they ruled this country, they did very well. APC came with their lies and today the country has failed under the party”.
The Speaker who is also the National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria added that; “You can see that there is insecurity, the economy has collapsed and we need to rescue this country.”
