In order to cushion the harsh impact and pains the removal of the fuel subsidy on Nigerians, the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration has announced the disbursement of N185 billion as palliatives for all 36 states of the federation including the federal capital territory (FCT).
Each of the states is to have a share of 5 billion naira which is expected to use as palliative care for their citizens.
Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno state, gave the disclosure in Abuja on Thursday, August 17, 2023 when he spoke to State House correspondents at the end of a National Economic Council (NEC) meeting presided by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The council is made up of governors of the 36 states, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other coopted government officials
