The Olu of Warri Kingdom, HRM, Ogiame Atuwatse III, and his Aboh counterpart, HRM, Dr. Greg Oputa Obi Oputa III, has reaffirmed the commitments of the traditional rulers in proffering means that will improve the lives of the people.
The Olu of Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse III, stated this on Saturday, February 15, 2025, when he received the traditional ruler of Aboh Kingdom, HRM, Dr. Greg Oputa, Obi Oputa III, and his council of Chiefs at his palace in Warri.
The Olu said traditional rulers would not relent in their efforts in ensuring peaceful coexistence among the various kingdoms in the state, noting that both Kingdoms had beautiful historical ties and sues for its sustenance and growth.
He assured the traditional ruler of Aboh Kingdom of his readiness to collaborate with him in attracting the needed development to his people and the entire area.
Responding, HRM Obi Oputa III, affirms the vital roles played by traditional rulers especially in shaping morals, values, culture in the society, and attracting development to their various localities. He restated the commitment of the traditional rulers in leading the people in the right direction.
The Aboh monarch also noted that the visit to the Olu of Warri was to brainstorm on ways of bringing more development to his people and applauded the warm reception given to him and his entourage by his host.
He disclosed that though his ascension to the throne witnessed some challenges, but thanked God they were able to overcome all of them. He promised to use any opportunity that comes his ways not only to attract growth to the kingdom, but to also lead the people of Aboh Kingdom closer to God. He further added that the traditional institution will always seek ways to improve on the lives of the people and appealed for more support in order to achieve the desired result.
