As Deltans celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the creation of Delta State, immediate past chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Chief Godwin Adode, has said past and present governments have made significant impacts in terms of infrastructures, human and economic development in the state.
Chief Adode, in his remarks on the 33rd anniversary of the creation of Delta State, noted that both past and present Governors in the state have made frantic efforts to attain and achieve the vision, dreams and goals of founding fathers.
Adode, popularly known as ‘Coach Tete’, stated that the Delta state creation on August 27, 1991, marked the beginning of a new dawn for growth and development of the state as a distinct entity in the nation.
He said, “As a past local government chairman, I am most happy for the 33rd anniversary of our loving state. I am also very proud to be identify with the present administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the M.O.R.E agenda which is presently yielding positive fruits for all Deltans.
“With the commitment of our amiable Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, I am very optimistic of a better progressive and developed Delta State in no distant time.
The immediate past local government boss expresses his joy to all Deltans, past and present leaders in the state for the good foundation laid, and called on Deltans to support the Oborevwori administration for a holistic development which he says is the governor’s priority. He added that Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as a grassroot man, is committed to building the state without compromise.
“I am very confidant that Oborevwori will not fail nor disappoint Deltans, he has started well, and he is working and Deltans can testify to this.
” I must say thanks be to God for giving Delta State a governor that has listening ears, a governor that has not deviated, but happily and willingly consolidating on his predecessors achievements in order to make Delta state thrive.
“I happily expressed my warmest goodwill message to Deltans on the occasion of the state’s 33rd anniversary and I celebrate His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on this occasion”.
