With the ransom of 11 million naira paid, the Kidnapped Chairman of Private School Owners Association, Delta State Chapter, Deacon Monday Ifoghere who was abducted alongside his Wife, on Sunday, December 12, at about 5:00 am were reportedly released near Oviorie Junction along Eku road, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the State.
The couple regained their freedom after spending seven days in the den of their abductors.
Reliable source revealed that the sum of N11 million was paid as ransom to secure the release of the couple.
According to the source, it takes the efforts of family members, friends, and associates of the Delta NAPPS Chairman to raise the sum, which was first reduced from N200 million to N100 million and then N11 million which part was allegedly paid in dollar equivalent.
It could be recall that Deacon Ifoghere and his wife were kidnapped along the Abraka-Eku road on Sunday, December 12, 2021, while returning home from a function at Ughelli.
Upon their released, the couple was taken to his Assemblies of God Church Eku were he and his thanked God for their safe release before they were driven to hospital for proper medication.
