Sequel to an appeal made by Barnabas Ereyanayovwen, 32, who had serious sight challenges and solicited for financial appeal on June 12, 2023, he has returned like one of the ten lepers in the bible to appreciates the Parish priest of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ughelli, Very Fr. Dr. Anthony Mario Ozele, members of Saint Vincent De Paul Society, parishioners and others for their swift response to his financial appeal.
In an appreciation message made available to this medium by Barnabas and members of his family represented by Mr. Joseph Erhue, he expressed gratitude to the popular Catholic priest, the Saint Vincent De Paul Society and all parishioners of Saints Peter and Paul Ughelli for their love and cares and for volunteering to take him to the hospital and to be responsible for all the bills.
“The parish priest personally assigned a member of St. Vincent De Paul Society to take me to hospital in Warri were I was treated and given some visual apparatus to aid my vision. They paid all the bills, and if not for their intervention, my condition could have been worst than what you see today, Barnabas stated”.
“I am very grateful to Fr. Ozele and everyone that has been supporting me and my family. I have had operations on both eyes, but it got to a stage that I can no longer walk on my own neither see or recognizes someone, until Father Ozele came the huge assistance, he said.*
They appreciation message thanked Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Anthony-Mario Ozele for his prompt response and concerned showed and prayed God to bless him, the Saint Vincent De Paul Society, the Youths, Legionaries and all members of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Parish Ughelli.
Barnabas Ereyanayovwen had sometime in June solicited for financial support from the public when the state of his sight was getting deteriorating. Happily, his church, the Catholic Church in Ughelli responded swiftly and today, his vision has improved speedily.
