Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Michael Edoja said, what he is doing is borne out of his quest to see that his home place also benefits politically from both the federal and state government in terms of good, standard and durable infrastructures, appointment of Isoko sons and daughters into notable positions as well as to attract other political dividends.
“Like you know, Isoko is my home. I am from Oteri-Iyede, but most of my life is lived in our neighboring local government, Ughelli, but I have discovered that one of the major weapon of having a voice in the political scene is number. How do you get this number, it is by ensuring that all eligible voter in your area is registered. This will enable them have that decisive power and a voice and that is my aim.
“From my little experience, I have discovered that some persons either due to ignorance or lack of interest shy away from registering during electioneering periods or, perhaps, forget their home town and chose to register in their place of residents. Though, its allowed, but it hinders the growth and development of the place they come from, so my intention is to correct such anomalies, and one way of doing this, is by bringing the message to them personally, and supporting them with transportation and feeding so that such pockets of excuses will not deter them”.
“I am not doing this because I want anything, no, get it right, I am doing this, because I want my home place to benefit from the massive infrastructural development of both the federal and the state government.
