Tragedy struck on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Ugbenu, Koko junction in Delta state as five persons lost their lives in an explosion involving a fuel laden tanker that fell along the Benin-Warri road  while scooping fuel.  The tragic incident occured when the tanker laden with PMS driving towards Benin fell down at the Koko junction in Ugbenu town fuel with its content spilling into a nearby swamp.
