By Godwin-Maria Utuedoye The Catholic Church in Nigeria, on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, lost one of her quintessential Archbishop, His Grace, Most Rev. Patrick Ebosele Ekpu, Emeritus Archbishop of Benin City Archdiocese at 92. In a statement signed by the Chancellor of the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin-City, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Oyanofoah, the Emeritus Archbishop died after a brief illness. The statement urged all Catholics in the archdiocese of Benin City to remember the archbishop in their prayers. The statement further  disclosed that date for his funerals will be communicated later.
