Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has approved 25 percent reduction in acceptance fees payable in the four State-owned Universities as part of palliatives for students. Despite the intervention of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwolu, twelve-year-old Adebola Akin-Bright whose small intestine went missing during surgery in the hospital also died. A close member of the family confirmed the tragedy to BBC News Pidgin, adding that Adebola suffered from internal bleeding. The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), on Tuesday flagged off the training of 60 unemployed youths on environmental beautification training scheme (EBTS) in Taraba state. Gunmen in Imo State have killed eight security personnel including soldiers, policemen as well as officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The security personnel were killed on Tuesday morning in Umualumaku community, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the state. Members of the joint security taskforce were said to be in two security trucks when they ran into an ambush. They were set ablaze by their attackers with none of them surviving as they were burnt inside their operational vehicles.
