Atiku Abubakar scored 371 votes out of 753 accredited delegates with 12 void votes. His closest rival was the River State Governor, Nyesom Wike who scored 237 votes. Declaring the result, Senator David Mark who is the chairman of the convention committee, said having scored the highest vote, Atiku Abubakar is declared winner of the PDP primary.
