The defectors during a chat with news men said, the APC government have done much for them in terms of effective representation by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, stating that even though the APC is not the ruling party in Delta State, yet, it had performed far better than the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which they alleged abandoned them after working hard to push them into victory.
“We have come to campaign to all of you here in Udu, not to only PDP but to everyone including APC and members of other parties. I am appealing to the Udu people to stand for us and for me. I want to tell you that there is no need to change a winning team. I have lived with you, and I am well known to all of you and hence I am here today to solicit for your support”, he added.
He said that Okowa’s lucid and didactic presentations on the security and economy show his genuine grasp and understanding of the issues bothering the nation’s security and economic development.

Responding to an allegation by the Delta State Commissioner of Information, Charles Aniagwu, who accused Senator Omo-Agege of sponsoring women to protest non-payment of pensions of primary school retirees, Niboro said the allegation is baseless, unfounded and deserves no serious attention
Aniagwu disclosed this at a news conference in Asaba and urged the general public to be wary of the protesters as they were obviously playing the cards of their political sponsors.
He said that some of the retirees appreciate the effort of the state government in helping to clear the outstanding pension liabilities and remarked that a certain woman leader of the APC was being used to blackmail the governor and paint him in bad light.
