A suspected kidnapper only identified as Akatakpo has been shot at Ewu-Urhobo community in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State and number of other suspects arrested by police operatives from the Ughelli Area Command and Otu-Jeremi Division. A resident pastor at St Peter’s Combined Christian School in Mohlaletsi village in Sekhukhune District, Limpopo, South Africa, Diketso Matibidi, has been suspended for allegedly assaulting a female student. A yet-to-be identified wheelbarrow pusher has allegedly stabbed a tax collector to death in Benin City, Edo State before killing himself.   It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday on Mission road in Oredo Local Government Area of the state.    The incident caused pandemonium among residents and shop owners who hurriedly closed shops.   An argument had reportedly ensued between the barrow pusher and the tax collector over alleged refusal by the former to pay N50 daily ticket. The Federal Government has disbursed a total of N135,479,884,677.02 as reimbursement to states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).   This disbursement follows the second independent assessment of results achieved under the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG CARES), a World Bank Assisted Performance For Results Programme.   Dr. Abdulkarim Obaje, the national coordinator of the NG-CARES programme, announced the disbursement of funds in Abuja on Friday.     He clarified that the allocation was based on the results achieved by states and the FCT in their initiatives to assist poor and vulnerable Nigerians under the NG-CARES Programme.…
