Suspected gunmen on Thursday night kidnapped a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Kingsley Ichie of St. Michael Catholic Parish Umuekebi community in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
The priest and the driver of his car, Uchenna Newman were kidnapped at Orie Am a junction at about 8pm .
The priest and the driver of the Volvo Jeep alighted to buy something at the junction before they were kidnapped. Report had it that the suspects also robbed business owners at the junction .
The Imo State Police Public Relation Officer is yet to react to the incident even as sources revealed that this is the third kidnapping incident within the Anara Umuelemai road within two weeks.
