Activities marking the 2025 Rev Waive Annual Day of Prayers took place over the weekend in Ughelli Delta State.
The 2025 Annual Day of Prayers for Hon. Rev Francis Ejiroghene Waive, representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency took place in Ughelli, headquarters of Ughelli North Local Government Area on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
The annual prayer session featured Clergymen from all five Blocks of CAN including the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria CSN, Christian Council of Nigeria CCN, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN, Organisation of Africa Instituted Churches OAIC and ECWA/COCIN
The over one thousand clergymen congregated to pray for Hon. Rev Francis Ejiroghene Waive, a ranking member of the House of Representatives who currently chairs the House Committee on Rules and Business and a long standing Pastor of high repute.
The Christian leaders assures Rev Waive of their continued support and also ready to mobilize their church members to vote for him again and again no matter the political party or platform under which he runs for office. They praised him for not bringing reproach to the body of Christ all his years in politics and for the impact he continues to make on Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency which he represents in the National Assembly in particular and the nation in general.
Prayers were also made for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the clergymen commended Hon. Rev Waive for working in harmony with both the State and Federal Governments.
The Church leaders who convened the prayer meeting at Ughelli Kingdom Hall, pledged to continue to hold the annual session and also pray continually in their respective churches and homes.
Speaking with newsmen after the prayer session Rev Julius Fovie, expressed joy that those who mocked their first prayer service in 2019 saying that the clergymen had no voters card and couldn’t influence any votes were now begging for prayers. He urged Rev. Waive to continue to be strong and do exploits.
On his part Rev Sunday Oghenechovwe thanked God for keeping his servant and expressed faith that God will continue to keep him. Rev Emmanuel Eredoro urged Rev Waive to continue to raise the bar in quality representation and good governance.
Clergymen who led the prayers include Rev Fr Jesuovie Ogagavwodia, Archbishop Solomon Gbakara, Archbishop T. E Obie, Ven Azugo, Ven Kpangban, Ven BAC Awaritoma, Pastor Gab Onobiokor, Bishop Idoro, Rev Sunday Oghenechovwen, Rev Emma Eredoro, Rev DPO Sotu, Rev Julius Fovie, Rev. Gilbert Ogifo and many others.
The lawmaker, Rev Waive thanked the men of God and the body of Christ for their continuous support and assured them that by the Grace of God, he will do better
