Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Bomadi in Delta State on Friday, October 1, 2021 intercepted one Solomon Ebe, 37, a native of Tuomo Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, with 340 Rounds of AK47 Live Ammunition.
In a press release made available to this medium by the Commands Public Relation Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, the suspect was arrested by the operatives in Bomadi Division who where on patrol.
He further stated that the suspect who was carrying a sack of garri, was asked by the officers who were said to be on stop and search, to open it for a search, and upon search, the ammunition were found hidden inside the garri and was arrested and investigation is said to be ongoing.Â
Also, on September 30, 2021, at about 2015hrs, the DPO ‘A’ Division Warri acting on a distressed call that a tricycle with registration No FHR 600 QF has been snatched by four armed gang  at Hausa quarters and were heading towards Delta line motor park, Warri/Sapele road. The DPO detailed the  Rapid Response Team of the Division to go after them.
The team on sighting the hoodlums, gave them a hot chase and in the process, one of the suspects named Efe David ‘m’ age 22, jumped down from the tricycle and was arrested while the other three escaped with the tricycle.Â
Information was quickly disseminated to other Divisions and local vigilantes which led to the arrest of one of them by vigilante with the snatched tricycle while two of the robbers escaped. The Vigilantes were over powered by irate mob who delivered instant jungle justice on the suspect. The tricycle, a cut to size double barrel gun with two live cartridges and some suspected stolen pieces of gold plated jewelries were recovered, and Investigation is ongoing.
In another fear, the police on September 29, 2021 at about 0300hrs, acting on credible information, operatives attached to the Command Raider Squad raided Utuloho Street Ozoro, during which one (1) English double barrel gun and twenty-six (26) live cartridges were recovered in possession of one Ejiro Efemijoghor ‘f ‘, who claimed that the gun belongs to her husband but investigation is ongoing.
