The wife of Delta Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, and the founder of You Matter Charity Foundation, Monday, visited the Asaba Specialist Hospital, Asaba to welcome the first baby of the year born in the state.
Deaconess Oborevwori congratulated the baby, Master Destiny Onuoha, who was born at 12:05 am to Mr and Mrs Martins Onuoha. She proclaimed the promises of 1 Kings 5:4 over baby Destiny, emphasizing that he would be a shining blessing to his family.
The governor’s wife, accompanied by the You Matter Charity Foundation team, visited the maternity complex, neonatal unit, and the labour and pediatric wards, where she showered gift items, including cash sums, to babies and mothers.
She also paid off a total medical bill of One million, six hundred and eighty-one thousand naira (N1,681,000) for indigent adults and children, including the bill of a child booked for surgery.
In response, Mr Onuoha Martins, a private school teacher and an indigene of Ndokwa East local government area, expressed his excitement and appreciation to Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori for the gifts showered on his son. He described the visit as historic, noting that his joy knows no bounds with the honour God showed him.
The Chief Medical Director of Asaba Specialist Hospital, Dr Peace Ighosewe, commended the gesture of the governor’s wife and her team, especially on the offsetting of medical bills of five critical patients.
