Former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori has met the Senator representing Delta South in the National Assembly.
The meeting held in the lawmaker’s residence.on Sunday.
Recall that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. (Hon.) Sheriff Oborevwori, visited the Federal Lawmaker on Saturday in his residence.
It was learnt that the said visit was to woo Manager to support him in the guber race.
Surprisingly, Senator Manager who failed to talk about the visit of Oborevwori, mentioned the former Governor’s visit.
In a Facebook post, he said: “Earlier today, I was excited to receive our National leader and my oga, His excellency, Chief James Ibori. The Odidigboigbo of the universe at my warri residence.”
Although the reason for Ibori’s visit remains sketchy, political observers believe the move was to stop any support for the PDP guber candidate by the Delta South strong man.
Some political associates of Ibori have said that Oborevwori does not have Ibori’s blessing, saying that the former Governor will give his support to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
