Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the new Head of Service, Delta State, Dr (Mrs) Mininimi Oseji on her appointment and subsequent swearing-in by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
The Speaker in a congratulatory message to Dr Oseji, who until her appointment was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, and the 2nd female Head of Service since the creation of the state, urged the new HoS to further improve efficiency in the state’s civil service.
Rt Hon Guwor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Nkem Nwaeke, said a streamlined bureaucratic processes would eliminate bottlenecks, and promote the implementation of innovative ideas to enhance service delivery in the system.
The Speaker charged the new Head of Service to provide visionary leadership, and guide the civil service with integrity and wisdom.
Guwor emphasized that adherence to rules and regulations within the civil service would promote good governance and foster transparency and accountability in the state.
He enjoined the HoS to work closely with the State Assembly, other government agencies, and stakeholders to drive development and progress in Delta State.
The Speaker expressed optimism that Dr Oseji will make meaningful impacts and contribute to the growth of Delta State, even as he wished her well in the task ahead.
“I congratulate the new Head of Service for a well deserved appointment. She has a great profile, meaning she has gathered a lot of experience over the years. I enjoin her to bring her wealth of experience to bear in the state civil service.
“The MORE mantra of His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff F.O Oborevwori needs all the support of every stakeholders in the state. The civil service is key and must be strengthened for better service delivery.
The new HoS has a responsibility to build a better and stronger system. I pray that God grant her the wherewithal to succeed”, Guwor stated.
