…Compel All DPO’s To Escort Materials To All Destinations
Delta State Commissioner Of Police, Abaniwonda Olufemi on Friday, July 12, 2024, led the DCP Operations, the Squadron Commander 31PMF, and DPOs across the Twenty-Five LGAs of Delta State to the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN office, Asaba, for the inspection of Local Government election materials and safe escorts of both sensitive and non-sensitive materials to the various Local Governments Areas. 
The CP had issued a firm directive that the DPO’s must personally lead all materials safely to the various destinations and assured all residents, and electorates that the Command will ensure that the election is conducted peacefully and hitch-free.
He further reiterated the restriction of movement from 8am to 3pm on election day while noting that NABTEB examination students and people on essential duties will not be affected by the restriction order.
The CP urges electorates to be law-abiding and peaceful during the exercise.
