In a bid to ensure the timely completion of ongoing projects in the state, Delta State Governor, His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, visited the Modern Technical College in Omadino, Warri South Local Government Area, to assess the progress of construction.
The governor expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work and directed the affected contractors to appear before him at Government House, Asaba, to provide explanations for the delay.
Governor Oborevwori emphasized that the government is committed to the timely completion of all projects and will not tolerate any delays.
The governor’s visit to the Modern Technical College is part of a series of project inspections undertaken to ensure the quality and timely delivery of projects across the state.
Governor Oborevwori emphasized the importance of education in the development of the state and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing quality education for all Deltans.
The Modern Technical College in Omadino is one of six technical colleges approved by the immediate past administration, and is expected to provide vocational and technical training for youths in the area.
Governor Oborevwori called on the people of Omadino and the Warri South Local Government Area to remain patient and supportive of the government’s efforts to deliver quality infrastructure and services to the community.
He assured them that the government is committed to completing the technical college project and delivering on its promises to the people of Delta State.
The governor also thanked the community leaders and residents for their support and cooperation in the development of the area and promised to continue to work with them to deliver on the government’s promises.
With this project inspection tour, Governor Oborevwori has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that projects in Delta State are delivered on time and to a high standard.
The governor’s call for explanations from the affected contractors demonstrates his determination to ensure that taxpayers’ money is used effectively and efficiently.
