…Charges Youths On National Development
By SouthernVoicenews
Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, has inspired Nigerian youths to have a stake in national development through charitable engagements to better the welfare of vulnerable groups in the country.
Mr. Aniagwu stated this shortly after being recognised with an award by a non-profit charitable organisation, Fahuf International Foundation, for his humanitarian interventions.
He called on youths to expand the frontiers of national development by exploring the boundless opportunities in the country, rather than seeking illegitimate means to migrate to other climes where the grass may not be greener.
Aniagwu commended the group for leading the cause in addressing issues affecting humanity and alleviating the predicaments of vulnerable persons at the grassroots.
‘’I am encouraged by your intervention. I know that you are not rich; yet, from the little you have, you have been able to make sacrifices in visiting and seeking help to reach out to those who would benefit from your generosity.
“For me, this is something that I am excited about.
‘’Some young people are thinking of escaping from the country. This attitude means that they have lost hope. But for those who have demonstrated hope, like you have done, the best thing we can do is to encourage them to succeed,” Aniagwu said.
Earlier, the International Director of the Fahuf Foundation, Freda Akpabio, informed the commissioner of their Back-To-School Project, aimed at assisting indigent students with the resources and tools to excel academically.
While highlighting the activities and achievements of the foundation, Akpabio acknowledged the outstanding contributions of Mr. Aniagwu in the state, just as she honoured him as a patron and mentor of the foundation.
