…As Esiso Welcomes Decampees From APC
Delta State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Tuesday, presented flag to the chairmanship candidate of the party in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Olorogun Jaro Egbo and his Vice Chairperson, Chief Mrs. Meg Atano.
Speaking at the event held at the Oharisi Primary School, Ughelli, Chairman of the party in the state, Chief Kingsley Esiso, expresses his gratitude to the leaders and followers of the PDP in the local government area, saying the calibres of leaders present at the event testify to the fact that Ughelli PDP is fully prepared for the July 13, 2024, elections. He thanked those who put the event together and noted that Delta State is PDP and PDP is Delta.
While presenting the party flag to the candidate, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, Chief Esiso, described Egbo as a man with the capacity and ability to rule the local government. He urged all to vote the PDP come July 13, 2024.
While congratulating the 20 councillorship candidate, Chief Barr. Kingsley Esiso assured them of victory.
“I am assuring you that by 1pm on July 13, 2024, your result must have been announced and all of you including your chairman will all emerged victorious as we will not give the opposition a half councillorship slot.
“It is only the PDP that can do it because it is the only party that is recognized even in the street and knows the street people”.
Receiving decamping members from the APC, including Chief Andrew Odibo, Olorogun Happy Erhimu and others, Chief Esiso said;
“Today is a very important day in the history of our great party. These our brothers were blind before, but today they have retraced their steps back.
“As you return back to the party, i assure you that you are entitle to all the goodies in the party.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the party in the local government, Pastor Kesiena Nomuoja, welcomed the state Chairman, Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso and leadership of the party to Ughelli and appealed to all present to come out in their numbers and vote for the PDP.
Also speaking, a leader of the party in the local government area, Chief Dr. Surveyor Terry Noah, appreciated the efforts of the youths in putting things in order and thanked the party for the opportunity given him to speak on behalf of the leaders and elders forum. He also thanked the state governor for his wisdom in ensuring a peaceful process that brought a vibrant candidate in the person of Olorogun Jaro Egbo.
On his part, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas thanked all present and urged them to vote the PDP by voting en-mass to the PDP.
