Revered Delta Monarch and Chairman of Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, HRM, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), Orhue 1, The Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, has described All Progressives Congress APC, Senatorial aspirants, Chief Ede Dafinone as some one capable, experienced and with an intimidating qualification to occupy the Senatorial position.
The monarch made this declaration when the Nexim Bank none executive board director visited the king and his council of Chiefs in his palace at Orerokpe in Okpe Local Government Area, to intimate him of his interest to run for the Delta Central Senatorial District.
The Orodje who received the Chartered Accountants alongside his notable Okpe Council of Chiefs, said, “You have come for our prayers and blessings, that is what we will give to you because this is your home, and all Okpe people will give you their support”.
In a similar way, leader and founding father of APC in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor has said, Chief Ede Dafinone has the strength, the capacity and technicality to represent the Delta Central at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
Emerhor who stated this when Chief Ede Dafinone visited him at his country home at Evwreni, noted that he believed in the person of Chief Ede as someone who can represent the interest of Urhobo nation without being selfish or self centred.
He said, he has been supporting the the party above personal interest and called on all to give support to Chief Ede Dafinone as he has the wherewithal to compete with the opposition party favourably without stress.
Responding at the separate visit, Chief Ede Dafinone said; he had visited the palace and Olorogun Otega Emerhor to seek for their prayers, blessings and advise in order for him to succeed in his quest to represent the people of Delta Central Senatorial District.
He further described Olorogun Otega Emerhor as a major stake holder and a founding father of the APC in Delta State, hence he is beginning his consultation with him apart from first going to inform his home monarch, The Orodje of Okpe Kingdom. He further note, that he holds Oloroun Emerhor in a very high esteem and requires his supports to become the senator representing the Urhobo people.
