Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has rolled out their Summit membership-drive and Inauguration for the state campaign Council, which was held at the state party’s secretariat, Nnebisi road Asaba, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, stating that the next elections will not be won by big names any more due to the new electoral act as amended.
A statement by the State Chairman, Comrade Okorakpa Lucky in Asaba recently, indicated that the summit will be chaired by Dr. Orefo Nnamdi Onochie, PRP presidential aspirant, noting that the reason he joined the party was because PRP always stood for the truth and known for the truth at all times. “Just the way God has identify Mr. Immanuel Edijala for Governor come 2023, so God has blessed PRP”. We believe on your “POWER AGENDA’ Dr. Onochie Said.
Also Speaking, “the governorship candidate, Mr. Immanuel Edijala who was accompanied by his lovely wife and host of his large entourage advice party chieftains and faithfuls that his power agenda is sufficient for every one in Delta and beyond.
He charged party men and women to work with their body, soul and spirit for the victory of the party at the general polls, that the party 5/5 is guarantee come 2023. He also emphasized the need for every one to work hard, that money is not the issue of the party , because the party is believed and know for truth and change, he said .
“The statement also read’, that the LGA summit will be done within the three Senatorial districts that made up Delta State on the same day respectively.
He further explained in plain words, ‘ that the summits recorded massive attendance by the party Candidates, from DTHA, House of Reps, Senatorial, Gov’ship and stakeholders at all levels where issues of major importance to the party were discussed which harped on the need for membership registration, documentation and delineation at the grass roots which is open for more membership.
The State Chairman who reiterated the need for enlistment of credible persons as polling agents, ward collation agents, LGA collation agents and state collation agents and the need for immediate submission of their records to the national secretariat for onward submission to INEC, Okorakpa Said.
Okorakpa urged all party Chieftains and party faithfuls to be careful on their choice of Party Agents, not to use any one seen, but trusted party man. Using any one for the sake of friendship will jeopardize that role and will negotiate the interest of the party for his own personal gains. ‘Just the same way he affirmed the names of those registered today as the new leadership of their different wards.
According to State chairman, “that you cannot be a leader or woman leader and sit at home and expect some one else to be doing your job for you and also expect recognition, that the era of baboon dey work monkey dey chop is past. Okorakpa tasked the new leadership to be steadfast in promoting the activities of the party at all cost and ensure victory 5/5 at the polls.
Another important issue discussed has to do with, “Correct recording of members’ details in polling units’ membership registers to be collated by states, according to wards and LGAs and be submitted to the national secretariat as states’ membership registers of party.
