Delta State Government has set up a committee to look into the challenges facing the state owned broadcast stations so as to restore them to glorious heights.
Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, State Commissioner For Information, disclosed this today in his office when he received in audience the Chairman and members of the Board of Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Warri on a felicitation visit.
Dr. Osuoza explained that the State Government has set up a Committee to holistically look at the challenges facing the state-owned Broadcast Stations and proffer solutions to them so as to restore the Stations back to glorious heights.
The Commissioner adduced that the committee would look at the physical infrastructural challenges and human resources in the establishments and suggest ways to fix them to meet best practices.
While urging the Board to co-operate with the Chairman, Dr. Osuoza charged them to be resourceful, diligent and restore discipline in the establishment.
He thanked them for felicitating with him on his appointment and commiserating with him on the death of his father assuring them of a cordial working relationship to make the station the beauty of Broadcasting in the state.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Board, Barr. Moses Odibo has felicitated the Commissioner on his appointment and assumption of duty stating that since Dr. Osuoza was abreast with the challenges of the state-owned Broadcast Stations, having being Board Chairman of the Stations, he was perfectly fitted for the position and fix the challenges facing information management in the state.
He commiserated with the Commissioner on the demise of his father, assuring him that the Board would participate in all the burial arrangements for his late father.
