The Collation officer for Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections for Edo State, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, has announced the final results of the election.
According to the results announced by Ndaeyo, the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, polled a total of 331,163 votes to win the election in the state.
Obi was closely followed by candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who won 144, 471 votes.
This Is even as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), came third with 89,585, while, Rabiu Kwakwanso of NNPP scored 2,743.
Other results are, Party A 739, AA 329, AAC 530, ADC 2306, ADP 1069, APGA 960, APN 661, APP 324, BP 993, NRM 393, PRP 216, SDP 296, YPP 406 and ZLP 4082.
Prof. Ndaeyo announced that the total votes cast was 600,395. Total valid votes for the state was 581,266, while 19,129 votes were rejected
