Promise To Donates More Beds, Solar Street Lights, Repairs & Provide Uniforms, Books For Pupils

Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Jaro Egbo has emphasised the importance of good health and its benefits to human.
Egbo stated this at the Primary Health Centre, Uwheru, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, when he paid a working visit to the health centre to inspect the facilities. He noted that without good health, all human struggles and efforts will be in vain, but assured that his administration will not neglect the health sector but give all the necessary supports it can.
Officer In-Charge of the health centre, Esther Ighravwe while taking the chairman on a tour of the facilities, first commended him for providing them with a solar street light that help, but appeal for more of the street lights round the compound.
Lamenting shortages of beds and other hospital equipments, the Officer Incharge disclosed that about 17 communities around Uwheru make use of the facility but said some the challenges including flooding of the compound once it rains, leakages and good water has hindered them especially in the case of emergencies.
Responding, Hon. Jaro Egbo, promised to donates more beds and 10 more solar street lights and effect repairs on some of the buildings.
Egbo also made a stopover at Odja Primary School, Uwheru, were he mandated the Head Teacher to call back all pupils that have dropped out of school due to lack of funds. He also promise to provide the pupils with uniforms, sitting desk and textbooks.
The Head teacher, Mrs. Edna Ishaka appreciated the chairman for the gesture and promised to carry out the order given to her immediately.
