The Leader of the Legislative Arm of Warri South West Local Government Council, Rt Hon Ekpemupolo Idukedoumene Samuel, has emerged the State Coordinator of the Forum of Leaders of the Legislative Arms of the 25 local government councils in Delta State.
Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo emerged through a process facilitated by the Chairman, Delta State Chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, Hon (Chief) Isaiah Onoriode Esiovwa.
The Okpe Council Boss had hosted a meeting with all the Leaders of the Legislative Arms of the 25 local government councils at Orerokpe, headquarters of the local government.
The meeting had 19 of the Leaders of the Legislative Arms in attendance.
The Leader, Legislative Arm of Oshimili South, Rt Hon Michael Okonji, emerged as the State Secretary, while Rt Hon Olokor Friday Abizire, Leader, Isoko South and Emmanuel Emojeya, Leader, Ethiope East, emerged the Public Relations Officer, PRO and Treasurer of the forum, respectively.
Others include, Delta North coordinator Rt Hon Dikenwosi Chukwuyem Eric of the Ika North-East Legislative Arm as Delta North Coordinator, Hon Joy Nomeme Ejumudo, Leader, Warri South as Delta South Coordinator and Hon Rire Okejera Uruesheyi, Leader, Uwvie local government council as Delta Central Coordinator.
Reacting to the development, Rt Hon Samuel Ekpemupolo, said his choice to coordinate the Leaders of the Legislative Arms of the 25 local government councils in Delta State is another call for greater service to the state and commended his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him.
The Warri South West Legislative Leader promised to galvanize the forum to strengthen the legislature at the grassroots level and called for support of all stakeholders.
Ekpemupolo also assured that the forum will encourage development at the various local government areas in the state, in line with the MORE mantra of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
He thanked the Okpe Council Boss for facilitating the process and promised to synergies with Algon to entrench good governance at the various councils.
