*Visits Ukperherhen, Ekrota, Emadadja, Ugbisi, Ubogo, Ogbe-Udu

The newly inaugurated President General of Union of Udu Communities (UUC) umbrella body of the entire 32 communities in Udu Local Government Area of Delta state, Comrade Austin Emaduku, has embarked on familiarization and ‘Thank You’ tour to the 32 Communities in Udu kingdom, with a pledge to restore its lost glory.
Comrade Emaduku who began his tour with visit to Ukperherhen, Ekrota, Emadadja, Ugbisi, Ubogo and Ogbe-Udu Communities respectively, is expected to go round the remaining Communities to appreciate them for the confidence reposed in him for electing him as their President.
Speaking at separate visits, the President General of UUC, Comrade Austin Emaduku, sued for peace and unity, saying that without peace, there can not be progress. He described the communities as peace loving people who stood for the truth to ensure his emergence.
He said part of the crude oil been used to control Nigeria is from communities in Adadja ruling house, but there is nothing to write home about. At Ubogo Community, he thanked Chief Adams Ominigbo, an indegene of the community, for repairing the failed portion of the road by the Ubogo market junction, which was in a very bad state.
He said; “I thank you all for standing by me during my election as the President General of Union of Udu Communities. I therefore pledge not to betray the confidence you have reposed in me as your President General. I will make you proud in my tenure.”
He noted that; “We want peace and unity in Udu kingdom, therefore our administration will be based on oneness. I assure you that your requests will be properly looked into and presented to the appropriate quarters. We shall explore all opportunities with my experience as a grassroot administrator to bring even development to all parts of the communities. ”
Earlier, the president of Ubogo Community, Engr. Lucky Chughiefe, in his welcome address, congratulated Comrade Austin Emaduku on his victory and subsequent inauguration as the President General of Udu kingdom and all members of the executives.
He said Emaduku’s victory at the UUC election is a statement that the voice of the people is the voice of God, adding that Ubogo Community will continue to queue behind the Emaduku led administration till the end of his tenure.
The various Communities in their separate speeches however, solicited for Emaduku led UUC to wade into some issues affecting the Communities which includes; construction of link roads and renovation of existingones, renovation of Community Solar powered water project, provision of Solar lights, control of herdmen, cassava grinding mills amongst others, saying that provision of these amenities will fasten development across the Communities.
Highpoint of the tour was the demonstration by different dance groups in the various communities to welcome the UUC executives. A delegation was also sent by Enerhen Community to join the tour. They include Mr. Gowon Urhefe, Spokesman and Daddy Obasoyi, Assistant Secretary of Enerhen Community, respectively. Mr. John Eme, President of Okolor Inland community, also joined the train at some point during the visit
