The Federated Movement Of Urhobo Youth Leaders led by Prince Jifas Sony Ofbon, JP, has commended President Bola Tinubu for renewing the pipeline protection contract awarded to Tantita Security Services Limited for another three years.
Tantita Security company is owned by Chief Government Ekpemepulo, aka Tompolo.
In a statement by the Coordinator, Prince Jifas Sony Ogbon, JP, the Federated Movement Of Urhobo Youth Leaders noted that the renewal of the pipeline protection contract, shows that President Tinubu displayed uncommon leadership in the pursuit of the collective good of Nigeria and the Niger Delta people.
Prince Jifas also stated that the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mr Mele Kyari, also deserved commendation for engaging local security outfits to confront oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
They thanked Mr. President and his team for the renewal of the pipeline protection contract awarded to Tantita Security Services Limited.
“Having followed the all the reports and calls and counter calls for the renewal if the pipeline contract, we in the Federated Movement Of Urhobo Youth Leaders, dare to say that Tantita team are sincere and committed to the fight against the theft of the nation’s resources, and are ready to combat all those in involved in the economic sabotaged which has thrown the nations economy into quagmire.
“We saw the blackmail from the cabal and pressure mounted by detractors and influential oil thieves, but the President and his team shun all these and also awarded the policing of the pipeline to Tantita.
The group while congratulating Chief Tompolo, however called on the him to ensure that the Urhobo Ethnic Nationalities is well carried along in terms of sharing of slots.
