As part of efforts and commitment to cushion the effects of not being able to afford their needs during their monthly flow, Miss Eke Jemima, Founder, Girls Clean Period Foundation, will tomorrow, July 28, 2024, distributes sanitary pads to indigent teens in Asaba.
Miss Jemima Eke, who will turn 17 on July 28, said she is inspired by the present economic quagmire bedeviling the nation to advocate for free distribution of sanitary pads and toiletries to female teens who may not be able to afford such and thereby making them loose self confidence and dirty.
“Girls Clean Period Foundation is poised at creating awareness among female teens who are undergoing their first menstrual cycle.
“My aim is to promote good hygiene and to boost self confidence amongst female teens, hence the theme is; ‘Clean Up, Feel Good And Look Good’.
The event which is the maiden outreach of the foundation will take place at the Cable Point area in Asaba, capital of Delta state.
