“It was clear that the PDP does not have a clear cut direction as to its national leadership, hence the decision for the mass movement”, Guwor stated.
While reacting to questions of defection on grounds of personal interest, Guwor maintained that the interest of Delta State comes first. other than personal interest.

He said “The Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, his deputy, Sir Monday Oyeme, Members of the National Assembly, the Speaker and members of the Delta State House of Assembly, the twenty-five Council Chairmen, the five hundred councilors, the State Executive of the PDP, the local government and ward executives, all moved into the APC today”.
Rt Hon Guwor affirmed that there will be no multiplicity of interest ahead of the 2027 election, stressing that all stakeholders of the APC will queue behind the Governor as he takes the lead.
The Speaker assured that the governor will no doubt provide capable leadership as the leader of the APC in the state, saying that the state already aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu which is also in synergy with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
“I am rest assured that that His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is capable of providing leadership in the APC and there will be no factions in the State”.
