All Progressives Congress APC, Delta Central Senatorial Candidate, Okakuro Ede Dafinone, on Friday, July 29, joined the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM. (Maj. Gen. Rtd) Felix Mujakperuo, during his sixteenth coronation anniversary.
The event which was celebrated in a low key took place at the Orodje’s palace in Orerokpe Community, the ancestral seat of power of the Okpe people.
Dafinone in an interview said, “It’s been 16years of focused leadership, development and peace under the reigns of the monarch”.
According to him, “We are here to celebrate with His Royal Majesty, and we join fellow Okpe indigenes and Urhobo men and daughters to pray for his continued reign in peace and prosperity for Okpe land.”
He noted that the kingdom is based on principles, stating that, “The more we celebrate our king, the more honour that comes to the Okpe people, I will continue to support, honour and be loyal to my King.”
On his part, the monarch during a thanksgiving mass held at the private chapel in the palace and officiated by a son of the Okpe Kingdom, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Ambrose Abaka Oghenejode Jnr. and other priests, appreciated guests for the turnout in celebrating his 16th coronation anniversary.
He later prayed for God’s blessings for them the Okpe Kingdom as he also intimated all if the Okpe Trust Fund which Olorogun Ede Dafinone is a trustee.
