The Member Representing Isoko South 2 and Chairman, House Committee on Health, Hon (Chief) Ferguson Onwo, has said that legacies left behind by the immediate past Governor of the State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, would always be appreciated by Deltans.
Hon Okowa, while reacting to the 65th birthday anniversary of Dr Okowa, described him as a man with so much dignity and wisdom, saying that he made commendable impact as Governor of Delta State between 2015 to 2023.
The Lawmaker, a former Majority Leader of the State Assembly when Okowa was the Governor, stated that as someone who worked very closely with the celebrant, he can always attest to his sterling qualities and potentials as a great leader.
Onwo on behalf of the good people of Isoko nation, particularly Isoko South 2 constituency, congratulated Okowa on his 65th birthday anniversary and prayed that Almighty God will continue to project him and his family in the years ahead.
He said “Happy birthday to a distinguished leader and a statesman, His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa CON, immediate past Governor of Delta State.
“Your excellency on this auspicious day of your birth anniversary I and my family wishes you long life, good health, sound mind. Grace, favour and mercy of God shall always be with you.
“You shall continue to rise in fame and your good deeds shall outlive you. We are ever grateful to you for giving me a platform to excel politically in the state. God bless you and your entire family”.
Speaking further Onwo stated “I am indeed very happy to be part of millions of well wishers celebrating this your special day and I join in praying that the day brings forth more joy, peace, and celebration to you and your family.
“Your selfless service, vision, and dedication to the development of Delta State as Governor, will always be remembered and cherished.
“As a serving legislator, I will always appreciate the foundation you laid and the opportunities you created for our people.
“Wishing you many more years of wisdom, good health, and continued service to our state and the nation at large. Happy birthday sir and many more years ahead”.
