A prominent indigene of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, and a chairmanship aspirant in the forthcoming local government elections, Hon. Anthony Isikuru, has congratulated the Ovie of Ewu Kingdom, HRM, Clement Oghenerukevwe lkolo, Urukpe l, on his release from the custody of the Nigeria Army.
Hon. Anthony Isikuru who spoke to this medium on phone, said he was so excited to see his king released from the military custody and expressed gratitude to God and to people of good will that stood firm in ensuring HRM is released.
Isikuru said, it is just God alone that intervened through notable Deltans like the state governor, Delta Senators and other notable sons and daughters from Delta State.
“I want to once again from the deepest part of my heart congratulate HRM, for his release because it was a huge allegations, but only God has proved his innocence, hence his freedom”.
He expressed gratitude to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori for the role he played and for being there for the people of Okuoma community and the entire Ewu Kingdom. He noted that the role he played can never be overemphasised, and called on all stakeholders involved in the crisis to lend the governor their supports in order for him to continue his work.
On resettling of the displaced persons of Okuoma community, Hon. Isikuru expressed optimistic on the governor promises of ensuring to resettle all displaced persons back to Okuoma community.
“As you will agree with me, the resettlement of displaced persons is not done in a hurry, certain procedures must be followed and, I am so sure of the capability of those the governor has saddled with that responsibilities. They will no doubt carry out their assignments diligently”.
