Promises Better Ughelli South LGA If Voted

Hon. Anthony Isikuru, one of the leading PDP chairmanship aspirant in Ughelli South Local Area for the forthcoming local government council elections, on Thursday, May 9, accompanied by his retinue of supporters, friends and well wishers paid a consultative visit to the local government party executives and leaders at the residence of the party chairman, Hon. Djegbe Michael Oshetigho.Â

Isikuru who was received warmly by the party exco’s in his remarks said, he had come to consult and intimate the party executives of his ambition and interest to run for the office of the local government chairman.

Recounting how he has worked and served the party at the grassroot level and beyond, Isikuru said, he has never derailed but have been so faithful and diligent for years. He said to those who knew him and believe his political ideology, can as well testify what they have achieved. He maintained that his experienced and knowledge is enough to lead the council to an enviable height of growth and development.Â

“I am a youth, I have the energy, the zeal, experience and the requisite knowledge to govern the council if given the privilege and that is what I have come to beg of you.

“I will work with the party executives, the leaders of the party and all Ughelli South citizens and residents to ensure we better the lives of our people. Once you empower the people especially youths with sustainable empowerments, then we will experience growth and development amongst the peoples”.

Isikuru assured of his openness to advise, loyalty, respect and cooperation with party hierarchy, adding that the party is the centre piece of any administration. He appealed to the party excos’ and leaders to consider him and give him their total support in order to grab the party ticket amd fly the party flag.Â

Responding, Hon. Oshetigho noted, that the confidence of the party lies in both the exco and the aspirants, stating that power belongs to God, and that such power can only come from Him.Â

He advised the aspirant to go out for more wider consultations among party leaders especially the number one party leader, the governor of the state.

“You need to go and visit and consult the governor. He need to know you and then you inform him of your aspirations and ambitions to contest.

“Consult other elders and leaders in the local government and carry people from other axis along. All we have to do is to pray for you because you are not the only one in the race. Anyone who come to consult us, is for us to pray for them”.

Hon. Oshetigho on behalf of his excos members prayed for the aspirants and wished him well in his race. Â
