A PDP chieftain and Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his victory at the just concluded governorship primary held Tuesday, May 25 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba.
Hon. Jifas Ogbon also congratulated Hon. Chief Taleb Tebite and Hon. Festus Utuama for his victory in the Ughelli/Udu Federal House of Representatives and Ughelli South State Constituency respectively.
Sony Jifas who was overwhelmed with the outcome of the primaries said, he was not surprise as both of them have worked hard, demonstrated great leadership skills and as well, so devoted to the party principles. This he said is a guaranty for their victories at the general elections comes 2023.
In a press statement issued, Hon. Jifas reaffirmed their victories as God’s divine saying that Hon. Taleb is a grassroot politician who displayed great quality representation at the Delta State House of Assembly, hence emerging as the candidate for the federal job was not a mistake but well deserved.
He assured that if elected at the general elections, Hon. Tebite will definitely replicate the quality leadership learned in politics over the years to date.
In his words, “I am full of excitement at this moment because our party (PDP) delegates voted for professional politicians with pedigrees, those with street credibility and a touch of humanitarian and capacity.
“You have all crossed the first hurdles and it is time to prepare fully for the general elections, together with me, the Delta people would have a taste of quality leadership representation, and our political fame as a region would be restored also”.
He called all constituents to vote wisely for the trio of Rt. Hon. Sjeriff Francis Oborevwori, Hon. Taleb Tebite and Hon. Festus Utuama come 2023, noting that PDP will take the lead as PDP has made great impact in the state.
