Report emanating from the media office of Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, disclosed that Chris Agidy, a senior legislative aide to the billionaire senator has been abducted alongside 18 others in Abuja.
Senator Ned Nwoko, has expressed uncertainty about Agidy’s status after receiving reports that 12 out of the 19 victims have allegedly been killed by the kidnappers.
The statement conveyed the gravity of the situation, stating, “It is with profound concern and heavy hearts that we address the recent kidnapping incident in Galadimawa, Abuja, involving multiple individuals, including the Senator’s esteemed Senior Legislative Aide, Barrister Chris Agidy.”
Approximately two weeks ago, 19 individuals were forcefully taken from their homes in the Galadimawa area of Abuja. Senator Nwoko took immediate action, contacting the Commissioner of Police and activating the OC Anti-Kidnapping team to secure the release of those abducted.

Efforts to ascertain the well-being and status of Barrister Chris and the other individuals still held captive are ongoing.
The statement emphasized the challenges faced in negotiating with the kidnappers, as their lines remain inactive, hindering direct communication. Despite the difficulties, ongoing efforts are focused on rescuing the remaining individuals held captive in a forested area approximately 100 km away.
Senator Nwoko and security operatives are coordinating closely to address this distressing situation, maintaining resolute pursuit of a swift and safe resolution. The statement concluded with thoughts and prayers for the affected families, especially Barrister Chris’s family, with whom they are in close contact during this challenging period.
