In a suspension notification letter signed by 15 members of the Ward Executive Committee including; Mrs. Oghenemine Ikuku- Vice Chairman, Comrade Daniels Etaga- Secretary, Mamede Adasen- Women Leader, Olorogun Jonathan Idolor- Financial Secretary, Obiuwevwin Augustine- Publicity Secretary, Henry Atevure-Legal Adviser, Felix Iboye-Ex-Officio, Monday Umukoro- Ex-Officio, Mrs. Blessing Efenudu- Member, Igbudu Enimu-Organising Secretary, Ojite Ogilo Ex-Officio, Lucky Diaso- Member, Challenge Ogidiota and Comrade Loren, both accused the party chairman, Hon. Precious Ejenake of embezzlement of funds meant for equipments and furnishing of party secretariat.

The money which came as part of the insurance of the Inspector General of Police welfare scheme, was issued to the Next of Kins of seven deceased officers whose families benefited. 
Presenting the cheques to the Next of Kins of  the fallen officers, the Commissioner of police appreciated the gesture exhibited by the IGP as the cheques will in no small way act as a boost to the families and also to let them know that though their loved ones are no more, the force did not forget their sacrifices in a hurry. 

In a Press Statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Dennis Otu, the State PDP Governorship Candidate lamented the sudden death of Rt. Hon. Afuye, describing his death as a huge loss not only to his family, wife and children but also to the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, where he was an active and committed member.

Dancing emotionally with this group of people to the site of the Royal Residence being constructed for her by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and then back to the Palace, Omu Dunkwu took time to recount her journey of life.
