The Peoples Democratic Party in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State is gearing up to kick-start its campaign on Sunday, June 16, 2024, in preparation for the local government council election scheduled for July 13, 2024.
In a statement released by Hon. Michael Djegbe Oshetigho, the Chairman of the PDP in Ughelli South Local Government Area, the campaign will center on the election of Rt. Hon. Lucky Avweromre, the PDP Chairmanship candidate, and the 20 councilorship candidates in the local government area.
The event is set to kick off at Ekakpamre Ward in Ekrokpe at 2 pm, with leaders and members expected to gather at the residence of Chief John Oguma, the party leader in Ughelli South Local Government Area, in Ovwor-Olomu town at 1:30 pm for the onward movement to Ekrokpe town.
Hon. Oshetigho has encouraged all PDP members from the 20 DSIEC wards in Ughelli South Local Government Area to attend the campaign event to ensure a resounding victory for the party’s chairmanship candidate and the 20 councilorship candidates.
The party is rallying its members to unite in solidarity to support their candidates and champion the party’s agenda for the development and progress of the local government area.
The campaign aims to invigorate the party’s base and engage with the communities in the ward to garner support and mobilize voters for the upcoming election.
The PDP is optimistic about its chances in the election and is dedicated to conducting a robust, issue-based campaign that aligns with the aspirations and needs of the people of Ughelli South Local Government Area.
The party is calling on all supporters and well-wishers to join them in this significant endeavor to secure a decisive victory at the polls.
