Non-Governmental Organisation, Arhavwarien Advance Club, (AAC)
in collaboration with Arhavwarien Indigenes in the UK and USA, has donated medicines to boost the humanitarian services of the Arhavwarien flood victims.
Facilitator of the group, said the gesture was aimed at providing the relevant support to improving the lives of victims involved in the ravaging flood and as well as other crisis situations.
The medicals arrived Arhavwarien kingdom successfully and were officially presented to Chief Felix Akatakpo (The Iyasere of the Kingdom), Mr. Uruemu Imoniwanrieta (The Youth Chairman) and Prince Temple Okukenren, before they were taken to the Health Centre for final handover to the Nurse in charge for proper distribution.
The group also disclosed that there are notebooks and pen for adequate record keeping and proper accountability.
The Youth Chairman who acknowledge the medical items and other gift items, expressed their gratitude to the group as they offered prayers for the donors.
Arhavwarien indigenes in the UK , USA and other places also urged others to come forward to support their people. They however, pleaded with the Government and other NGO’s across the country to come forward to lend their support to in order to alleviate the sufferings of the flood-displaced victims.
“Irrespective of where we come from, we should all come out and assist our people. Not only in your community but throughout various communities in Delta State and beyond”.
