Nigerian Born Global Expert, Professor Alexander Akpodiete, a Satellite Communications Expert, Cybersecurity Analyst, and AI Ethicist, was a key speaker at a five-day training program for the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) held in Bahrain.

to delved into topics such as satellite orbits, frequency bands, cybersecurity in satellite systems, and advanced network management tools.
During the training, Real-world applications were emphasized, with discussions on optimizing satellite systems to support Bahrain’s Vision 2030 goals of Sustainability, Competitiveness, and Fairness.
The training catered to Bahrain’s top engineers, managers, and directors, focusing on the latest advancements in satellite communication and their real-world applications. Participants gained insights into critical topics such as satellite orbits, frequency bands, beamforming, and modern satellite network management tools.
On Integrating Cybersecurity and AI into Satellite Systems, Professor Akpodiete’s unique expertise provided a cutting-edge perspective on two critical aspects of satellite communication viz cybersecurity implications and the effects of AI on satellite systems. With satellite networks increasingly vulnerable to threats like jamming, signal interception, and unauthorized access, the training covered advanced strategies to safeguard these systems.
