Senior Political Adviser to the Delta state Governor, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, has affirmed that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori holds the people of Delta North in a very high esteem in line with the implementation of the administration’s development agenda.
Senator Aguariavwodo stated this on Thursday, October 3, 2024 during a Town hall meeting with PDP political leaders and members at Issele-Uku, headquarters of Aniocha North local government area. The former managing director of the NDDC, said Governor Oborevwori would always reckon with Delta North as a strategic quarter in multi ethnic Delta.
He noted that Oborevwori recognized the immense support and contributions of Anioma people to his administration and recalled that Delta North gave PDP the highest votes in the March 18 Delta 2023 governorship election which culminated in his election as governor.
The Senior Political Adviser said Oborevwori was passionate about the overall development of Delta North with numerous on going projects in the area and assured that more would be executed for the beterment of the people
He emphasized
that the governor has expressed resolve to execute projects worth one billion Naira in each of the 25 local government areas in the state, apart from the various empowerment programmes, dedicated to the general well being of the citizens.
Senator Aguariavwodo spoke of Oborevwori’s integrity and said he would live up to his promises as envisioned in the M.O.R.E Agenda.
He urged the people to sustain their goodwill for the Oborevwori administration as the governor means well in the service of the State.
Senator Aguariavwodo said the PDP remained the best party committed to the peace,progress and development of the state, noting that the current APC government had not only destroyed Nigeria but also brought unimaginable hardship to the people,expressing the hope that the partway to a better future is the PDP.
Various speakers at the Townhall meeting including the majority of Delta state House of Assembly,Hon Emeka Nwaobi, matriarch of Delta politics ,Chief Nkem Okwuofo, Aniocha North council chairman,Hon. Emma Chinye ,PDP Aniocha North Chairman,Chief Charles Ochei and Chief UZ Idabor among others, acknowledged the development efforts of the Governor and urged him to do more, to boost the confidence of the people.
Requests for rehabilitation of deplorable roads across Aniocha North communities,
employment opportunities and greater inclusiveness dominated the Townhall meeting attended by
commissioner for Information Dr.Ifeanyi Osuoza, Commissioner for Science and Technology,Hon.
Odinigwe Odigie,Vice chairman of Aniocha North council,Lady Nneka Dibie,former council chairmen, array of government appointees among other dignitaries.
