Members of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo in Delta state on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, paid a solidarity visit to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa at his Asaba residence.
The visit was aimed at showing solidarity with the former governor and to familiarize the incumbent President of the group, Amb. Chief Joel Ndidi Aminu (JP) to him after the voluntary resignation of his predecessor, Chief Chiedu Idama to complete the Anioma’s slot.
Speaking on behalf of the Igbo Apex Social Cultural Group, Hon. Nze Francis Onuora, extended their solidarity in the recent Economic & Financial Crime Commission’s Investigation on the immediate past governor of Delta state.
Responding, Senator Okowa thanked the Chief Joel Ndidi Aminu led Ohanaeze group for maintaining the relationship between him and also extending it to the present administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
He noted that the EFCC should not be blamed for carrying out their assigned duties as such, as it is normal for him to respond to their invitation. Okowa further stated that he always frowns at discrimination of Non Indigenes wherever they reside and admonished the Ohanaeze members to work in synergy with the Executives and other districts in State.
Stake holders and government appointees including Sir, Chief Edwin Uzo (JP), Ohanaeze Patron, Special Adviser to the Governor on Peace Building And Conflicts Resolution, Amb. Chief Michael Ezeh, former President and member, Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council, Hon. Nze Francis Onuora, SSA Non Indigenes Affairs, Chief Chuma Kaeme (Ochendo Ekwulumili) among others joined in the visit.
