Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, HRM, Felix Mujakperuo l, Orhue I, The Orodje of Okpe Kingdom has stressed the importance of Traditional rulers as bridge builders between the government and the people.
The Okpe monarch gave this remarks when he hosted the traditional ruler of Aboh Kingdom, HRM, Dr. Greg Oputa, Oputa III and his Council of chief at the palace of the Orodje of Okpe at Orerokpe in Okpe Local Government Area of the State.
The Orodje noted that the roles played by traditional rulers in sustaining peace and bringing development to their area could not be overemphasized and assured that the relationship between both kingdoms would fast track growth in their domain.
The monarch said they would ensure that their subjects adhered to the laws of the land in order to attract more development to their area.
He enjoined the people of Aboh Kingdom to rally round their new king and make the area an envy of other kingdoms.
Highly elated Aboh King, Obi Oputa III, expressed his heartfelt joy to the Okpe monarch, adding that the relationship would bring good tiding to both kingdoms.
Obi Oputa described the Orodje of Okpe as an experienced monarch and bridge builder whose reign has attracted benefits to the kingdom and humanity.
He assured that the traditional rulers in the state would bring their wealth of experiences together for the benefit of Deltans
