Delta Journalist, Comr. Akpovoke Otiti who was on a working tour from Asaba to Ughelli and Effurun recently, has lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for ordering the immediate eviction of market women and the Delta Appreciate motor parks that has been hindering free vehicular movement at the Otovwodo junction on daily basis.
Comrade Otiti noted that the expansion of the Otovwodo and the popular Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) junction will enhance quick vehicular movements and save working hours for residents.
He said the decision was a bold step and a confirmation of Governor Sheriff leadership prowess and preparedness to deliver his MORE agenda across the state.
The News Editor of Aljaziralpress, said the clearance of one of the most busiest junctions in Effurun, Uvwie local government area and the popular Otovwodo junction was a remarkable achievements.
He said heavy duty trucks and tankers as well as other articulated vehicles coming from Asaba, Bayelsa, Port-Harcourt, Benin, Abraka through the two junctions will now have relief.
In his words; “Before now, vehicles spent several hours at the Otovwodo and PTI junction, but with this new development of removing those markets and motor parks, traffics is now reduced drastically.
” For 8 years, successive administrations has abandoned Ughelli, Warri and it’s environs even when its same party that has been in power.”
Otiti further called on residents of Ughelli and Effurun to join hand and support the Oborevwori administration, adding that if the new government of Oborevwori within few weeks in office can clear the roads and junction for easy flow of vehicular movements, then his administration must hold something good for the state.
