…Charges newly-elected officials on party’s unity
Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has congratulated newly elected Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Isoko North Chapter, Hon. Bernard Idisi, his Isoko South Counterpart, Chief Victor Ekelegha on their emergence at the just concluded party’s congresses.
The House of Representatives member on Saturday at Ozoro, also congratulated other officials who were elected into various positions in the party’s administrative structure in the two local government areas of the Federal constituency.
Hon. Ukodhiko hailed the conduct of the local government area congresses of the PDP in Isoko as peaceful, credible and transparent, saying, “it marked a new beginning of a rebranded party that reflects the aspirations of the people, poised to maintain its stronghold and influence in Isoko-nation.”
He said, “with today’s successful LGA congresses, huge responsibilities have been bestowed on the shoulders of the newly elected executive committees of the PDP headed by Hon. Bernard Idisi for Isoko Norh chapter and Chief Victor Ekelegha for Isoko South.
“It is time to unite the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Isoko, and bring back all our members that left the party. Yes, it is time for the party to have a new lease of life.
“With these new set of tested leaders elected into the party Local Government Areas’ Executive Committees, we believe that the party is on the path of irreversible progress.
“I must thank the leader of the party in the state and our amiable Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for institutiing transparency based on equity and fairness due to his pragmatic and progressive ideals geared towards implementation of his MORE Agenda.”
The Isoko Federal lawmaker acknowledged the leaders and stakeholders of the party for their various roles they played towards the emergence of the newly-elected executive members of the party in the two local government areas, assuring that, the interests of everyone would be accommodated and protected.
While welcoming the new executive committees of the PDP in the Local Government Area for the next four years, Hon. Ukodhiko seized the opportunity to appreciate the outgoing executive members of the party for their loyalty, commitment and contributions to the growth of the party while they held sway.
“To all leaders and members of the PDP in Isoko nation, we must continue to support the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, three State House of Assembly members, and the two council chairmen for more development of our ethnic nationality and empowerment of our people.” Hon. Ukodhiko urged.
