Peoples Democratic Party PDP Secretary Effurun-Otor Ward in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Comrade Ochuko Omorere JP, has commended the Member Representing Ughelli South, Ughelli North and Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, for his courage, fearlessness, straightforwardness and boldness in endorsing Rt. Hon. Oborevwori as the sole candidate for the 2027 Governorship elections in Delta State.
Omorere, who is also the Secretary, PDP Youth Force For Sheriff Ughelli-Udu Federal Constituency, while reacting to the endorsement of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for a second term in office by the APC member, called on All Progressive Congress APC, in Delta State to follow the path of Hon. Waive in adopting Governor Oborevwori as the sole candidate of the party in 2027.
“As you know, it takes courage to break from party lines and prioritize the interests of the people, and that is what our father and brother, Rt. Hon. Waive has done. He understood the importance of good governance and once he saw one, he appreciated it.
“Though to some persons, they may feel he has done something bad by speaking the truth, but that is what conscience is, and even other opposition members of the APC are also testifying to the fact that Governor Oborevwori is a working, performing and detribalized Governor.
“As you all are aware, the State Governor has shown capacity in governance that even the blind can feel the positive impacts of his administration in the state in the past one year and ten months, so he needs our supports, backing irrespective of party affiliations, and it is only what is good that can be given another term.”
He noted that the bravery of Rt. Hon. Waive, whom he described as a father and brother from the same local government, in standing for the truth and the interest of the good people of Delta State, should be recognized, respected and appreciated, stating that the stand of the federal lawmaker was the way to sustain the current pace of development in Delta state.
“It takes courage to break from party lines and prioritize the interests of the people of the state. This move could be seen as a testament to the lawmaker’s commitment to putting Delta State first, regardless of party affiliations”, Omorere noted.
Omorere who was a Senior Aide to Late Hon. Taleb Tebite, urged other well meaning Deltans to join forces with Governor Oborevwori in his efforts and strives for greater Delta State and called on other APC members and other political parties to support Governor Oborevwori for the good work he is doing.
